With over 640,000 streams on Spotify and appearances at festivals such as SPOT, The GreatEscape, (UK) SMUKfest and Trans Musicales (FR), Simone Tang kicked off her solo career in 2019 with her debut single “Shame”, which set the direction for the following 4 self-written and produced singles, most recently last year’s song “Feelings”. Six months ago, Tang started writing the songs for his debut album, in a new and more acoustic sound than previously released, cut to the bone on guitar and vocals. Inspired by the sound of 1940s French chansons and songwriters like Paul Simon, Elizabeth Cotton, Édith Piaf and others, she writes about forbidden love, perfectionism, neighborliness and sibling relationships.
